MHEDA: Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association

The companies and professionals immersed in the material handling industry are likely familiar with the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association, better known as MHEDA. This association strives to benefit equipment distributors by helping them improve and capitalize on their business operations and management practices. Through very specific compensation surveys, industry-targeted publications, unique networking opportunities and field education, MHEDA offers the material handling industry support that no other organization does.

Here at Material Handling Company, we appreciate MHEDA’s efforts to support material handling companies in a variety of ways. As we entered 2012 with much of the residual economic struggles from the past few years, MHEDA understands the importance of keeping hopes high within the industry. MHEDA board members came together in July of 2011 to begin planning for 2012, which included an internal and external-industry environmental analysis as well as discussion of Critical Impact Factors for 2012.

MHEDA has four standing committees, which include: Education, Membership, Networking and Member Advocacy. While the mission is to both retain and attract new members, the purpose is also to identify those companies (distributors) who demonstrate exemplary customer service, industry relations and best practices.
